Wictory Wednesday - During the Clinton administration, Republicans who criticized the president's foreign policy were roundly thumped by Democrats and the media. The Democrats would shake their heads, intone that "politics stops at the water's edge" and demand that the Republicans cease and desist all criticism.
Yesterday, with troops dying in the streets of Iraq, John Kerry said the president is playing politics with Iraq, suggested it was not wise for U.S. officials to try to arrest Muqtada al-Sadr, an anti-American cleric, without taking other steps to control violence in Iraq and said the date of sovereignty transfer is a fiction.
Nope, no politics here.
Kerry hasn't changed a bit in over 30 years. After fighting in the Vietnam war, he joined an anti-war coalition that helped raise the morale of the enemy and prolong the war. He's doing the same thing now.
If this makes you as angry as it makes me, do something about it. Donate to or volunteer for the Bush campaign and help send Kerry back to the Senate, or into retirement. It's time to rid American politics of the Vietnam syndrome for good.
