Tired of Misleading War News? - During World War II, the government censored news reports to keep certain information from the enemy. These days, the media is the one censoring news coming out of the War on Terror. Rather than report what is really happening in Iraq from day to day, they focus on the few car bombings and attacks on U.S. soldiers. There's a rather simple reason for this - such stories are easy to cover. They don't require a lot of effort. Meanwhile, the American people who watch and for some reason still trust Dan, Peter and Tom are getting a distorted picture of what's happening in the newly liberated Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hugh Hewitt has a suggestion for those who are fed up with the major network news - military blogs. These blogs are written by guys who have been there, and know the real story. Unlike journalists, who view good news as propaganda, these guys view good news as, well, good news. No detached cynicism, no anti-military bias. Just simple reports on what's happening where our troops are.
