Suspense Beats Truth - The Associated Press says Howard Dean holds a "narrow lead" over his Democrat rivals in a recent poll of New Hampshire voters. The actual numbers, though, seem to indicate wishful thinking on the part of the reporter. Dean has the support of 32 percent of likely voters. In second place is Wesley Clark with 23 percent. That's a 9-point difference. Sure, it's not the 23 point lead he once had, but 9 points hardly qualifies as "narrow." Truth is once again sacrificed in one political reporter's desperation to turn an election into an exciting story.
