Oops! - Turns out Paul O'Neill may have both lied and revealed classified information in the recent publicity blitz for his new book. These accusations raise some serious credibility issues. Not for O'Neill, but for the media.
Why did they, without checking out the story or corroborating it, take O'Neill completely at his word? Didn't it occur to them that someone fired by the Bush administration might have some motivation to cast everything in a negative light? Or was the headline just too juicy for them to pass up?
