Clark and O'Neill - Wesley Clark winning the nomination would be almost as good, if not better, than a Howard Dean victory. On the whole, I'd say probably better. Clark hasn't shown the same ability to fire up crowds or turn out supporters as Dean. In addition, Clark is much more prone to making crackpot statements about President Bush. So it's no surprise to see Clark wholeheartedly embrace Paul O'Neill's book about the Bush White House. PR-wise, this is the best thing that could happen for Bush and the worst for O'Neill. Judging by the initial media O'Neill courted to get attention for his book, the former Treasury secretary obviously wants to be taken seriously. Having his book trumpeted by the Bush-hating, crackpot conspiracy theory believing left will not help him in this regard.
